Dr Clive Lawson

Consultant Cardiologist

Clive Lawson has lived and worked in Tunbridge Wells for over 25 years and set up West Kent Cardiology Partnership with Derek Harrington in 2006.

Clive trained in Cardiology in London and Southampton and is an NHS Consultant Cardiologist based at the Tunbridge Wells Hospital in Pembury. He also covers the Kent-wide out-of-hours heart attack service based in Ashford. He is a general cardiologist with wide experience in all aspects of cardiovascular disease. His main interest is the management of coronary artery disease and he has extensive experience in invasive and interventional procedures including coronary angiography (invasive and CT), coronary intervention (‘stenting’) and pacemaker implantation.

Clive has been involved in the development and delivery of examinations for medical professionals for over 20 years: his proudest achievement is the development of the European Exam in General Cardiology from its inception. He has recently been appointed Senior Lecturer and Cardiology Advisor to the Kent and Medway Medical School.

Away from work, Clive is a keen (but very average) golfer and a crossword addict.
